What sizes of flexitanks do you supply?
We supply standard 24.000 litres and 22.000 litres capacity flexitanks, that are food quality and FDA approved. We are able to supply other types/volume of flexitanks upon enquiry.
Do you have different types of flexitanks?
Yes, we can supply single ply or multi ply flexitanks of various capacity with or without EVOH barrier (Oxygen Barrier).
What is the highest temperature your flexitank can hold?
The Flexitanks can take up to a maximum temperature of 60°C. For safety consideration, we recommend Safety Loading Temperature of 60°C and below. Should the product loading temperature fall between 60°C and 70°C, the laden flexitank must remain static for at least 8 hours after loading is completed.
What is the advantage of bottom loading / discharge?
For ease of operation and only requires a single individual to connect the hose and oversee the loading/discharge of the flexitank.
Can your flexitank be re-used?
Our flexitank is manufactured as a single use unit only and is covered by our insurance as such and complies with the COA guidelines on single use Flexitanks.
Does your company take care of the disposal of the flexitanks?
Yes, disposal can be arranged at clients request however this may attract certain fees.
Can I load 16,000 litres in a 24,000 litre flexitank?
No. If it is not fully loaded, the movement from transportation causes a wave action in the liquid inside the flexitank and it can cause a tsunami-like force from within the container. Under-loading will destroy any flexitank. The load tolerance of our flexitanks is +200 / -500 litres. Within this load tolerance you would stay still within Container Owner Association (COA) guidelines.
What is the percentage of residue in your flexitank?
Less than 0.5%. In terms of litres +/- 65 Litres.
How long does it take to load the flexitank?
Normally between 45 – 60 minutes depending on the type of pump utilized and the flow rate.
Do you have an insurance policy in case of leaks?
Yes, we are covered under the AUD 20,000,000 product liability policy.
Can the Flexitank be supplied with different valves/fittings/layers to suit a specific application?
Yes, in most instances we are able to supply different valves bearing in mind that the international standard is either 2″ or 3″ camloc valve fitting. Should the application require a “burping valve” this too can be supplied. Flexitanks can be manufactured to the number of layers required per unit at clients cost. In the instance of shipping solids in Flexitanks (ie. Tallo) we supply heater pads which are fitted upon installation of the flexitank to aid the liquefaction prior to discharge.
